I write science fiction from my home in Seattle, Washington. Some dystopian, some apocalyptic, and some cozy science fantasy. My background is in physics and materials engineering, and I ground my characters and their experiences in real science.

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me gardening, walking my dog, or coloring mandalas while listening to documentaries about ancient history or podcasts about AI and politics.

I’m an affiliate with Bookstore.org. You can see my favorite recommendations or buy one of your own. The proceeds help support independent book stores and I get a small percentage of whatever you buy. Feel free to contact me with your favorites or to chat about books and writing – I’d love to hear from you.

NOTE: If you purchase an eBook on Bookshop.org, you will have to read it in your browser, or download the Bookshop app onto your device. I have it on my Nook and it works great. Due to licensing issues with Amazon and Barnes and Noble, they are not able to provide most titles for direct download to Nook or Kindle.

About AI …  I never use AI to write for me and I refuse to give up my em-dash or semicolon. I use ProWritingAid to check spelling and grammar.
